OVERVIEW
Administrator, Descriptive Metadata Governance (Latam) is an important role responsible for governing descriptive metadata for all content and platforms in the Latin American market. This role is responsible for writing accurate and engaging descriptive metadata, editing titles and descriptions, and assigning taxonomy/tags for media assets. They will curate and maintain metadata for an enterprise-level asset library, establishing and enforcing best practices, in partnership with the broader metadata team. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates quality, error free, factually correct metadata (titles, descriptions and keywords), making sure that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices are upheld as much as possibleWorks with brand partners to ensure keywords/taxonomy and other related video metadata are in line with SEO goalsDevelops and/or enhances style guides or taxonomy values to ensure the appropriate message, tone, and "look and feel”Performs metadata localization/translation for the applicable Latin American marketCoordinates metadata delivery with all key stakeholders and vendorsEnters metadata for content library based on deadline workflowResponds to inquiries and creates/edits metadata as neededEstablishes appropriate links for connecting videos to other relevant materialEnsure ongoing accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery of metadata, including video assets as well as associated people and organizationsMaintains data quality post-production on library assets for future repurposeQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, English or another directly related field2 years’ experience in copywriting, editing, communications or a directly related field.Ability to write in Spanish and translate English into SpanishPreferred: Experience with taxonomies and cataloging assets. Library/Information science background is advantageous.Excellent writing skills, with strong attention to grammar and compositionExperience with digital media assets including knowledge of production practices and distributionCopy editing skills including communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audienceWorking knowledge of AP Style and ability to adhere to in-house style guidesPersonal computing skills, including Microsoft Office applications and database applicationsData entry and internet research skillsHow We Get Things Done…
