The Estée Lauder Companies is currently migrating its legacy POS environment within the EMEA region to a new POS platform. To support the ongoing maintenance of the solution, and continual business as usual demand (including legal / regulatory and business enablement), multiple environments need to be set-up and maintained to represent the diverse range of affiliates and brands (with their specific nuances) and allow for testing of new developments and regression testing of existing functionalities. This role is responsible for the setup/request and maintenance of these environments for development, testing, pre-production and production, as the long term strategy for the POS platforms. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining the installation process for a till (image, application, database), and accountable for application installation documentation that goes hand-in-hand with the continued evolution of the retail applications. The role will work alongside level 2 retail support teams to ensure business operational continuity. Qualifications Job Requirements and Qualifications: · Minimum Education level: A-Level or equivalent · Minimum Years of Experience: 1-3 years · % Travel Time: 5% Key Roles and Responsibilities: Database Administration · Monitoring database performance and implementing optimization measures. · Managing database security, including user accounts, roles, and permissions. · Implementing and overseeing disaster recovery plans. · Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues from centralized instances as well as retail store level Databases. · Collaborating with development teams to design and optimize database structures. · Providing support for database-related queries and requests. · Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and standards. · Create SQL scripts and procedures to support project deliverables and issue resolution. Retail Hardware Staging Process · Responsible for maintaining the retail terminal staging process which includes updates to the OS, DB and POS peripherals drivers · Ability to maintain communication and direction to 3rd party staging providers · Accountable for application installation documentation Software Deployments · Responsible for deploying patches, software updates, certificates and POS releases to the retail environment components including centralized application servers, local retail workstations as well as local and centralized databases · Set-up / request and maintenance of the retail application environments · Supports project and business as usual teams by ensuring development, test, pre-production and production environments are accurately set-up and available for their needs · The role will work alongside level 2 retail support teams to ensure business operational continuity · Supports the management of third-party system access requests Functional Skills · Understanding and experience working with and supporting IT systems · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills · Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team · Good documentation skills · Methodical in approach and process driven · Interest to further develop and a quick learner Beneficial Skills · Ability to develop Windows OS PowerShell scripting · Unix/Linux skills · Understanding and experience working and supporting Retail IT systems Job: Information Technology Primary Location: RO-B-Bucharest Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Job Number: 2415378
