Major Duties:
Facilitates the compliance review exercise by producing detailed reviews of BCPs as per schedule
Builds expertise on the standards and the tools used in the review process
Provides 2nd line insight on the level of compliance, identify gaps and put forward recommendations to bring the status back to compliance and ultimately mitigate risks
Tracks review completion for reporting purposes and ensure reviews are adequately documented
Contributes to the development of policies, procedures and business practices in support of various risk programs
Researches and develops analytical reports and solutions for issues being addressed by the department
Participates in training partners and delivering communications on applicable risk/compliance standards/ regulations and tools
Responds to internal and external inquiries and requests for information.
Supports incident command, awareness and other risk initiatives, as required
Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent
Impacts own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related; suggests improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team
Knowledge:
Familiar with various tools (e.g. SharePoint, MS tools, etc.)
Works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness when faced with constraints
Good communication skills and “can do” work attitude
Requires advanced or specialized skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures and systems
Understands how related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve objectives
Exchanged ideas and information effectively with others outside of own team and evaluates and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a clear manner
Experience:
Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree
Minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in business continuity although this is not required
As a specialist or lead for the team, may allocate work and provide subject matter guidance to team members with less experience
