The Supply Chain department is responsible for warehouse management, inventory control, work order management, incoming receipts, and domestic and international shipments of all items for Bloomington. This department follows approved materials SOPs for the Bloomington site. The Materials Management Team supports other departments in all materials needs, including staging materials for manufacturing.
The Position
A supply chain analyst primary duty is to develop a strategic road map for and drive operational efficiencies within the Supply Chain organization using data-driven, analytical methodologies and scenario planning, with the key focus areas consisting of warehouse capacity/utilization management and expansion planning, product launch preparedness, contingency/disaster planning, and overall analysis of performance (inventory, material control, vendor metrics, forecasting).

Essential Functions
+ Administer, develop and analyze enterprise supply chain systems
+ Participate in establishment and on-going maintenance of inventory policy for the facility
+ Gather and interpret relevant metrics including; inventory turns, obsolescence, demand patters, stock vs non-stock
+ Support root cause analysis and recommend actions
+ Serve as a back-up and be able to run the material requirements planning (MRP) process
+ Interpret results
+ Assess Quality risk
+ Ensure applicable material purchases are made
+ Perform warehouse utilization analysis on current and future state scenario models to determine short, mid, and long-term capacity needs in terms of physical space, material flow, and human resources
+ Develop an understanding of cost of warehouse space
+ Benchmark and recommend storage pricing that captures cost of space, annual maintenance/qualification, utilities, and material movement for storage
+ Prepare for product launch builds on capacity
+ Work with Project Management and the Client to optimize launch strategy based on internal capability and capacity
+ Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
+ Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers
+ Solves a range of straightforward problems
+ Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures
+ Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Must comply with EHS responsibilities for the position. Working conditions will be Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioned controlled. Working in a lab environment will require working with skin irritants, lung irritants, electrical equipment, sharp instruments, toxic materials, and hazardous waste. Safety procedures will be followed to minimize exposure, including clean room gowning.
Qualifications
+ Education/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 2 – 5 years of experience
+ GMP experience, preferred
+ Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
+ Technical Requirements:
+ Applied knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other and applies technical knowledge to assist and train the site with Microsoft troubleshooting
+ Has introductory knowledge of the principles, theories, and concepts of a discipline
+ Executes work plan/schedule developed with input from senior team member
+ Ability to understand and write assigned SOPs and moderately complex batch production records with minimal guidance
+ Excellent written communications skills with internal customers
+ Ability to address work issues at both an individual level and team level
