Job Title: Analyst – Logistic Cost Summary:To further strengthen the capabilities of the Global Shared Services Finance Team in India, Pavel has requested for addition of two critical Analyst roles to support Supply Chain Finance domain. These positions have already been updated in AOP 2025 template with necessary support justification. The incumbent of this role will focus on analysing logistics costs and providing data-driven insights to forecast cost trends, identify efficiency opportunities, and support procurement strategies. By delivering detailed analysis, this position will directly contribute to enhancing financial performance, driving operational efficiency, and achieving business objectives across regions and segments by focusing on the Global Logistic Budget Responsibilities Include: Position Summary: Momentive Business Services (MBS) provides exceptional support to global operations, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives operational excellence. The Global Shared Services team, based in India and Mexico, is integral to this mission, delivering comprehensive finance and business support. In this key role within the Global Finance Shared Services Team in India, the Analyst - Logistic Cost will assist the Supply Chain Finance team in analyzing logistics costs and supporting efforts to enhance financial performance across regions and segments. The incumbent will utilize data-driven insights to help forecast cost trends, identify efficiency opportunities, and support procurement strategies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills. The Analyst will play an essential supporting role in achieving business objectives and contributing to the organization’s operational efficiency and financial success Tasks and responsibilities of the position: Global + Build and maintain collaborative relationships with logistics and operations partners to address cost-related challenges effectively. + Support logistics operations in identifying and developing business opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. + Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data to create actionable insights for process improvements and cost savings. + Collaborate with Logistics, IT, and Supply Chain teams to implement cost-saving initiatives. + Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and deliver measurable results through individual efforts and cross-functional collaboration. + Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving. + Work closely with business leaders to drive data-backed decision-making. + Continuously seek to improve financial and operational processes by innovating and simplifying mechanisms. + Balance strategic thinking with attention to detail for effective implementation of solutions. + Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Decision Making Authority: Low-Medium Key Metrics- Role is Accountable For: + Logistics Cost Efficiency + Cost Savings Realized. + Forecast Accuracy + Cycle Time Improvement + Spend Variance Analysis + Global Logistic Budget Key Relationships: + Supply Chain Finance Leader + Procurement Teams + Operations Analysts + Business Finance Leaders + Cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations + IT Team + External vendors (need based) Travel Requirements As needed Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science). + Minimum 4-6 years experience in broader finance role with at least 2-3 years of experience in a Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, Operations Analyst, or related role. + Proficiency in material cost planning, financial analysis, and budgeting and ability to explain numbers to senior leadership team + Strong working knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse. + Advanced skills in MS Excel (e.g., Filters, Pivots, Dynamic Charts, Formulas, VLOOKUP). + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. + Fluency in English Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with Power BI and MS PowerPoint for data visualization and presentations. + Experience with Material Ledger will be a plus + Familiarity with accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance frameworks, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act and U.S. accounting rules. + Demonstrated ability to innovate and simplify financial or operational processes. + Prior experience working in a global environment across multiple time zones.
