Job Description

Analyst – Visa Rules Operations (Waivers)

The Visa Rules, Compliance and Standards (RCS) team establishes operating principles and enforces common interoperable rules and standards for our products and services by which clients must operate their Visa programs within the ecosystem.   

This is an operational role for a seasoned individual contributor, who will be responsible for managing and tracking expiring rules waivers, managing the review and approval of BER waivers, as well as providing ad-hoc support for review and processing of proposals (rule changes and waivers) submitted by rule authors from various regions, including validating the approval criteria have been met and that all materials meet department standards of consistency and quality and are delivered to the Visa Rules Committee (VRC) for full or delegated approval. In addition, the role ensures that all appropriate approvals are obtained in partnership with rule authors, as appropriate, as well as ensuring all such processes are documented and managed within the global function.  The role will work independently under limited supervision and partner with rule authors and RCS Leaders from across the globe. 

Core responsibilities include: 

Strong interpersonal skills and proven abilities in negotiating with and influencing business partners at all levels, including strong written and verbal communications skills Ensure all proposals are handled per process with highest quality standards, and within service level objective timeframes Management of multiple moderate to complex proposal topics in partnership with Rule Authors and Regional Leads at any one time, prioritizing as appropriate  Provide feedback and recommend enhancements based on quality trends identified in proposals submitted across regional teams  Observe and provide trends and insights across global proposals for stakeholders and executive leadership in various roles across Visa 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

2 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or 0 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD) Excellent written, verbal, and authoring skills to convey complex topics in “Plain English”  Analytical aptitude and demonstrated track record of working with information and data to develop business-oriented solutions  Ability to apply a risk mindset and sound business analysis to implement standardization and consistency in the proposals process Project management skills to co-ordinate divergent interests, commensurate with managing a multi-faceted complex program at an international level Ability to effectively work under pressure, self-challenging and adhering to tight deadlines ensuring RCS maintains established service level objectives  Ability to set priorities and manage expectations, and work both as part of a team and independently 

Preferred Experience: 

Extensive experience in Visa, a Membership organization, card industry or equivalent Awareness and understanding of Visa and Client / Industry business priorities Experience in quality assurance Understanding of Visa products, services and systems Knowledge of the Visa Rules Working (intermediate) knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint
