Summary
Support internal research capabilities primarily by owning and advancing Gallo’s internal consumer research capabilities including scoping, logistics, programming and final deliverables for the Enterprise; to include the project pipeline and prioritization but also meta-analysis of data to inform the organization on best practices to advance our marketing and communication capabilities.
Essential Functions
Initiative Management: Owns and develops our internal research execution capabilities for costs and speed efficiencies to include scoping, programming, and execution of online research (qual and quant based) via our internal survey platform. Provides end-to-end project management support and thought leadership for research projects (basic to moderately complex) to include collaborating with broader team on best method/approach, survey design & programming, analytical plans, data interpretation and presentation/report writing. Programs online surveys and related stimulus for internal Gallo research and ensures online survey meets project specifications. Monitors fielding progress and consumer quotas Conducts QC checks of data. Translates data into insights & implications through compelling and visual reports. Adapts research & project presentations for multiple audiences including company leadership & executives. Communicates complex ideas via a range of methods and data visualization with proficiency in multiple programs to achieve (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Independently manages multiple projects, timelines and budgets. Leads the advancement of the program and capability through: Capturing/Cataloging research results and developing internal norms across methodologies, such as but not limited to pack testing/creative testing Developing and conducting meta-analysis with an eye towards developing best practices in creative design across multiple applications (pack, campaign, in-store). Developing and maintaining KA knowledge library and creation of SOP's for internal testing parameters and application • Category / Consumer Trends & Insights Socialization: Extracts insights & opportunities (consumer, category and/or brand specific) from primary research initiatives and/or large data sets and distill these opportunities down via simplified, visual reports. Presents opportunities derived from primary & secondary research, as needed, to various stakeholders across the KA team and Enterprise. Partners to ideate and bring opportunities to life through activation recommendations, as needed. Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree plus 2 years of marketing research or data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of marketing research or data analysis reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of experience in marketing research or data analysis reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Previous direct, hands-on experience working with DIY research platforms (e.g. Zappi, Toluna, Qualtrics, Alchemer, Suzy) in addition to programming, execution/monitoring and reporting. Knowledge of foundational research methodologies across qualitative and quantitative approaches (e.g. pack testing, concept testing, creative testing, quantitative surveys, online qualitative research). Collaborative work style with the ability to develop your own opinions and recommendations but open to other points of view with the ability to pivot when needed. Passion for building, fostering and growing relationships with internal team and clients to establish discipline as valuable partner. Experience extracting actionable implications and insights from large, complex, data sets. Proficient in data analysis and presentation tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrate history of managing multiple projects with increased complexity over time. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills with ability to adapt information, positioning and delivery to different audiences across the enterprise. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree plus 4 years of marketing research or data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of marketing research or data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Experience in the Alcohol Beverage industry or with a CPG company. Skilled in effectively presenting information to leadership, public groups, and peer community. Experience with using Statistical Analysis Software (R, SAS, SPSS). Experience with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills in a multi-functional business environment; Experience with influencing both peers and superiors Skilled in thinking strategically and translating into logical business applications. Experience using and interpreting syndicated date sources (e.g. IRI, Nielsen, Shopper Loyalty Card, Mintel).
Compensation
Hiring Salary Range: $89,100 - $133,700/Year. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.Perks & Benefits
