Analyst - Actuary
Job Description:Qualifications:

The Analyst will be responsible for using statistical techniques and mathematical skills to provide actuarial support for product development, projection, product implementation, illustrations, valuation, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

  

Responsibilities will include deliverables such as:

Working on implementing the solutions using appropriate actuarial / analytical tools & techniquesPerform and analyze projections for in-force investment assetsAnalyze and provide fixes for the asset data received from various sourcesAnalyze interest rate scenarios , Investment expenses, carrying out Gain/Loss analysisCalculating the funding target, analyzing the funding shortfall and calculating the minimum required contributions to balance the Assets and liabilitiesSupport technical documentation and help create product documentsAssist in data extraction, calculations and validation while creating & running the modelsMortality experience study analysisWork as a core member of the actuarial team and contribute to make it a center of excellenceAssist senior members of the team in day-to-day management activities including MI reportingBuild strong relationships with US teams to identify and deliver enhancements to actuarial processesProvide regular updates to stakeholders and discuss solutions to potential problem areas

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of Actuarial Platforms/Tools like AXIS (GGY/Moody's) and related technology used for Actuarial valuation or other statistical / actuarial softwareStrong technical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, MS Access.Strong knowledge of Linear Algebra, Numerical analysis, Probability theory and Statistics.General Asset knowledgeCommunication: ability to break down technical language and terms to a diverse audience, ability to clearly document all processesTableau knowledge – additional benefitAnalytical and mathematical efficiency. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Positive attitude and the ability to build and leverage internal and external alliancesMust be a team player and able to effectively work with teams located in different locationsAbility to work independently and innovatively, as well as collaborate with othersCustomer Service Orientation

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline (Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Actuarial Sciences or related field)In pursuit of Actuarial papers from US/UK/India and making good progress towards certificationExperience in mortality experience studies is a preferredExperience in Actuarial field, preferably in Insurance.General Asset knowledgeExpertise on Actuarial Platforms/Tools like AXIS (GGY/Moody's) and related technologyGeneral Overview web-based training on GGY’s websiteDatalink training either through GGY or from another AXIS userBatch training through GGY’s website or from another AXIS userGeneral Asset web-based training on GGY’s website
