COMPANY OVERVIEW

The Global Client Group (GCG) manages institutional relationships and raises capital for Brookfield’s various private funds.

JOB PURPOSE:

This role is an Analyst/Associate level opportunity in the Global Client Group at Brookfield Asset Management supporting two or more client relationship managers (CRMs) covering institutional investors in the United States. The Analyst/Associate will work across all private market asset classes that Brookfield specializes in (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewables, Private Equity) and stretch across all parts of the fundraising process (marketing activities, direct client communications, research, client / prospect due diligence).

The responsibilities of the role include:

Support all aspects of fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence and onboarding processesReports to Managing Director of West Coast TeamWork with CRMs to originate new client investment activityCoordinate and attend update meetings with investment teams (prepare pre-meeting reports and appropriate materials, coordinate any follow-up)Cover on-site due diligence meetings with investment teams (prepare pre-meeting reports and appropriate materials, coordinate any follow-up)Where appropriate, directly communicate with clients to support their due diligence requestsMaintain Brookfield's internal CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring that the system is up to date for internal reporting purposesAssist with ad-hoc Business Development activitiesCompile detailed pre-meeting reports for each client meeting involving Brookfield investment professionalsComplete ad-hoc profiles on prospects as neededPerform detailed research and analysis, leveraging market data and other sources, with the aim to create targeted prospective investor lists for new funds and strategiesMonitor industry press for information relating to our respective prospects and competitorsIn conjunction with Communications and Project Management Teams, help coordinate road shows, conferences, and investor meetingsAssist with conference/ meeting planning: setup, prepare and co-ordinate with different stakeholders (both within and beyond the organization)Facilitate broad investor communication initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, communications, or other relevant discipline

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

2-5 years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry; property, infrastructure, private equity or alternative asset funds knowledge Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), experience of Salesforce a plusTeam player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to workAble to develop a strong internal/external network and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organizationProactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projectsAbility to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environmentExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilityStrong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentationsSelf-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail

Salary Range: $120k - $160K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
