Purpose and Scope:
We are looking for a skilled Configuration Management Analyst to join our DigitalX team. The Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the configuration management process, ensuring that all configuration items (CIs) are accurately recorded and maintained in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role will play a critical part in supporting IT service management and ensuring the integrity of IT assets.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Oversee the discovery process to identify and document configuration items (CIs) and their relationships throughout the lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and update configuration data from various sources. Conduct regular audits and reviews of the CMDB and discovery processes to ensure compliance with established standards. Develop and implement configuration management policies, processes, and procedures, including discovery methodologies. Support incident, change, and release management processes by providing accurate CI data. Analyze configuration and discovery data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provide training and support to team members on configuration management and discovery best practices.
