As an analyst in the Discretionary Product Development team, you will be coordinating cross functional working groups with a multitude of stakeholders to implement initiatives catering to the product launch and product lifecycle changes for managed products distributed to J.P. Morgan wealth management clients globally. These include but are not limited to coordinating various aspects of a product launch or product management/ lifecycle changes, changes to the investment guidelines, benchmark, or other product characteristics, including product termination and liquidation.
Investment management products and services are a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking. We offer the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including discretionary portfolios and regulated fund wrappers.
The Discretionary and Advisory Product Development team is focused on delivering high impact, discretionary and advisory solutions for US Wealth Management (under the J.P. Morgan, Chase and JPMS brands) & International Private Bank (IPB) clients. The team is responsible for launching managed investment products for distribution to private clients across various distribution channels. The team manages the full life cycle of the product; from ideation to delivery, termination and discontinuance.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate projects catering to product management initiatives, including business and regulatory changes. Track progress made against project timeline & proactively report periodically on key highlights, next steps and issues. Organise cross functional working groups with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Investments teams and manage relationships with the product stakeholders. Facilitate communications and meetings, document minutes & project steps, ensuring effective timing and sequencing of deliverables to meet tight deadlines. Ensure quality assurance and compliance: Validate data, ensure standards are met, and identify process improvement opportunities. Support and lead processes to ensure regulatory adherence. Manage data and documentation: Prepare and develop ad-hoc and regular data analysis, including charts and visual aids, to support decision-making or regular business reviews. Maintain and proactively recommend enhancements to ongoing product management reporting and product delivery pipelines.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
2+ years of experience within financial services supporting product management and delivery in the asset and wealth management industry or global markets. Proven track record of delivering projects or product management initiatives and experience with project management tracking and tools such as JIRA & Confluence. Detail-oriented with excellent planning, organizational and process management skills. Investments knowledge demonstrated via relevant experience, certifications, or education. Good presentation skills; excellent communication, interpersonal & stakeholder management skills. Team player with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Proactive self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset and a fast learning curve. Highly competent with core MS Office applications – e.g. Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with analytical and data management tools (e.g. SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python etc.)Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Project Management or Product Management experience. Team player who proactively shares knowledge and information within and outside the function. Proven track record of influencing and partnering effectively across a global organization preferred. Exhibit analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine and prepare substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
