Job DescriptionThe Risk, Governance and Compliance function within the Marketing Finance team provide senior management, the Front Office teams and the Head of Risk, Governance and Compliance, with transparency into the financial exposure, the profit/loss results and risks being run in the different commodity trading and marketing portfolios
With the centralisation comes the need for new ways of working, efficient processes and procedures, standardised IM systems as well as a new organisational model to be implemented to create a world class centralised, super-efficient, twin centered marketing function that can anticipate market developments and proactively plan sales and marketing activities with full information, visibility and a fast, efficient decision-making process.
QualificationsThe Financial Trade Ops Analyst – Risk Reporting (Commodity Financial Trade Validation and Regulatory Reporting) is responsible for the middle-office functions and processes, including but not limited to trade validation, confirmation, invoicing and regulatory reporting in relation to commodity derivatives trading activities. of commodity related financial trading activity and support the Risk Reporting Team in its operating activities. This role will be involved in supporting the execution and monitoring of key controls and performance indicator to ensure efficient and effective processes relating to market data delivery, financial trade validation and regulatory reporting.

Perform validation and confirmation processes for commodity financial trades, ensuring accuracy and completeness of inputs into Commodities Trading Risk Management (CTRM) systems including trade costsLiaise with traders, brokers and counterparties to investigate and resolve trade discrepancies in a timely manner.Issuance of trade confirmation or invoices to relevant counterparties.Maintain broker fees schedule up to date in CTRM systems.Track and upload monthly exchange fee rebates.Reconcile and invoicing monthly 3rd party brokerage in CTRM systems.Document Standard Operating Procedures and Workflow Instructions detailing operating procedures.Margining and collateral management
Understand MTM movements impact on daily VM calculation.Support Risk Reporters in investigating Variation Margin discrepancies.Liaise with Treasury on margin administration for trading positions with brokers.Regulatory Reporting
Validate info captured in trade reporting system to the CTRM, ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of daily submission to DTCC via SaaS platform.Review and address reconciliation results from trade repositories as well as handling of failed reports, errors, and exceptions.Perform monthly EMIR threshold reporting.Follow up on root cause fixing and escalate to Line Manager when necessary.Communicate effectively with stakeholders (Front Offices, Risk Reporters, Information Management (IM), external Vendors, Compliance, and relevant Counterparties) to investigate and resolve issues.Act as back-up for other team members of the global Financial Trade Operations team.
Audit
Provide the audit documentations promptly.Liaise and work closely with auditors to walk-through work process and ability to discuss and close any audit gaps.Support on-boarding of new activities, process changes and systems enhancements
Execution of User Acceptance Testing (‘UAT’) is completed, and issues are addressed ahead of go live.Embed relevant process changes and system enhancement, ensuring consistency of procedures and timings.Ensure all relevant SOPs and control documentation have been updated.Additional InformationWho We Are
