PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Position. The Analyst Health Services is responsible for managing and maintaining processes related to Fitness to Work, Return to Work, Employment Medicals, Periodic Medicals, and Alcohol and Drug Testing in compliance with relevant policies and the Railway Safety Act. This position supports the Health Services department, including Occupational Health Nurses and Disability Management Specialists, Vendors, Employees & Leaders by ensuring program compliance and managing medical information within the Health Services systems.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure efficient Health Services program delivery for CPKC employees in the US and Canada Maintain compliance and liaise with stakeholders and third-party vendors to track medical requests Provide responsive support for all administrative inquiries Update program information and employee health records, and process invoices accurately and timely Review current processes and suggest improvements for increased compliance and efficiency Offer administrative support, and cross-trains for coverage across various Health Services programs, including Fitness to Work, Return to Work, Employment Medical Program, and Alcohol and Drug Testing

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary education or one to three years’ experience in HR, occupational health, or safety programs Proven experience in health services administration or a similar role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in invoicing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) or a background in payroll administration would be considered an asset Understanding of health and safety regulations and effective approaches Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
