About the Role
Contributes to the monitoring, analysis evaluation and management of inventory to support our operations and functions.
Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations. An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development. Work collaboratively with Inventory and other colleagues to optimize and deliver sustainable materials availability and usage outcomes Management of exceptions, assessing parts availability for scheduled work, and make recommendations in line with the Inventory Planning process Review free text items, identify opportunity for transfers, and ensure Parts Availability alignment with Work Order scheduling Coordinates proactively and effectivity to expedite delivery of materials when schedule changes cannot be accommodated Coaches end users to develop understanding of inventory planning process and integration points to optimise Work Management planning Frequent engagement with regional stakeholders in conducting Parts Availability reviews and actioning recommendations. Address ad hoc queries from business, drumbeat Parts Availability meetings around inventory value, service, Parts Availability, and Work Order planning Participate and support activities such that Inventory meets the Business Plan and meets Department and Global KPIs. Assist the Lead Inventory Planner in resolving complex issues, review of work allocation, and any associated activities to manage team’s performance Assist the Lead Inventory Planner to continuously update and improve procedures and Quick Reference About You
Bachelor ’s degree and / or similar qualification in a commercial, business and/or technical discipline Pragmatic commercial outlook and exemplary judgement (balances business value vs. risk) to deliver best outcome for BHP Demonstrated experience with monitoring parts availability Collaborative mind- set and advanced interpersonal skills. Capable in building constructive long term relationships. An ability to operate effectively in complex environments Ability to think laterally to independently resolve issues and influence change. Autonomous, detail oriented, organised, and objective. Communication skills enabling the influencing of a diverse stakeholder group Ability to work individually and in a team as required. Ability to support Supply Leaders to deliver upon department KPIs. Experience with Work order management and SAP will be highly regarded About Our Process
