**Summary** Retail Insights Analyst The Retail Insights Analyst is responsible for providing analytics and insights support for retail channel, category and item-level data needs, primarily leveraging syndicated data sources. This role focuses on understanding consumer behavior, market trends, sales performance, and inventory patterns to optimize retail operations and strategy. The analyst works closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to identify opportunities for growth, improve customer experience, and enhance product offerings. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Fact-Based Sales Support Integrate information from many data sources and develop actionable insights and recommendations to support customer initiatives. This work includes, but is not limited to, new product introductions, pricing analyses, seasonal reviews and programs, promotional planning, category planning, and evaluation. Category Analyses, Insights, Reporting Assist the team with fact-based reporting and recommendations based on category and consumer trends using both quantitative and qualitative syndicated research. Use data visualization tools to strengthen business recommendations and create efficiencies in deliverables through process development using programming languages and various software platforms. Drive insights to action through deep analytics of the category, macro-trends, competitive landscape, pricing, promotion, assortment, and shopper trends. Collaborative Cross-Training & Development Work with manager and team to cross-train in all areas of analytics; take on projects across verticals as needed, including but not limited to reporting, data visualization development/maintenance, storytelling presentations, SKU/brand rationalizations, process development, and standard reviews. Continuous Improvement Continuously improve capabilities and processes to support the team in driving superior results.
