Join our growing health system as we continue to change lives as well as the skyline of the regional communities we serve, with new, advanced health care facilities Job Summary Responsible for insuring Revenue Cycle logs are worked daily so that accounts flow through the billing process in a timely manner. Oversees the completion of the Medicare Bad Debt Logs each fiscal year. Responsible for monthly reconciliation account inventory with vendors utilized by PFS. Responsible for working with payers and Meditech on implementation of additional 835 payment files. Responsible for maintaining the Provider dictionary in Meditech. Provides Backup Coverage to PFS System Liaison position Qualifications Education Associates degree or equivalent required. Prefer some formal education in Accounting, Business Communications and/or Computer Technology. Must type at least 45 wpm. Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office programs. Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of third party payers’ such as Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Managed Care payers to accurately program systems. Experience Prior computerized medical billing experience working with accounts receivables within a hospital, clinic or physician office setting is required; one year of experience if in a hospital setting; two years of experience in an outpatient setting. Experience working with Microsoft office programs required; previous experience working with Meditech is preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Compensation/Benefits $19.56-$31.94/hr depending on previous work experience.
