How will you make an impact in this role?

The Line Management team leads credit line strategy for the Canadian card portfolio with the aim to optimize credit line decisions across the Card Member lifecycle. Core functions include - prospect & customer initial line assignment, proactive line increase, reactive line increase, and line reallocation. The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation and change across these functional areas through advanced analytics, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and strong follow-through.

Responsibilities:

Conduct analyses to understand customer behavior; design lending solutions that deliver industry-leading credit results while enabling profitable growth. Monitor credit metrics and functional KPIs, and track progress against targets. Collaborate with Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Centers of Excellence to optimize credit decisions, strengthen credit policies, and enhance risk controls. Monitor end-to-end processes and perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure operational excellence. Partner with Lending, Product Management, Marketing, and other Business Unit teams to elevate the market’s line management capabilities. Work with Risk & Compliance (2nd Line) and Internal Audit (3rd Line) to support and strengthen Amex Bank of Canada governance policies, processes, and committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, data science, operations research, or a related analytical field. Strong programming skills and ability to structure complex analysis leveraging multiple large data sources. Thought leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable strategies. Self-motivated, results-driven, and intellectually curious. Strong project-management skills. Proven ability to build productive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve shared goals. Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and have an ownership-mindset. Clear, effective written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an analytical field or prior work experience in risk management, decision science, or data analytics.
