2. JOB PURPOSE

Assist the internal controls and assurance function with the analysis of data and provision of reports, to aid testing of controls, investigations, and managerial reporting.

 

 

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Identify strategic gaps and opportunities for data collection and data driven solutions in line with the internal controls and assurance function objectives. Utilize data mining and data analytics tools at disposal of Hikma to build visualization models. Build continuous control monitoring models to support first line with rectifying errors and investigate anomalies in high risk areas of the finance cycle Identify data sources to fill any data gaps related to assurance engagement, utilize data engineering skills to integrate and process metadata from various sources; Analyse existing and produced datasets to identify risk flags, transactions and trends using data science concepts and statistical modelling; Build data sets leading to high-quality sampling, findings, trends, and observation, supporting the internal controls and assurance objectives. Generate data-informed insights and communicate these narratives through analysis and visualisations to a range of technical and non-technical team members; Apply various ML, advanced analytics and visualization techniques to various datasets across the company, as identified by the internal controls and assurance team.

 

 

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: 

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, applied computational mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other relevant field.

 

Preferred:

Advanced Degree (Masters or PhD in relevant topic) Certified Fraud Examiner Data Science Certifications i.e. CAP, SDS, PDS, SAS certifications etc. IT advanced professional certifications (CISA)

 

EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 

3-5 years of experience in a professional setting working with the following duties: Utilizing data analytics, visualization, and mining tools, such as Process Gold, ACL and PowerBI. Designing macros on Microsoft Excel Extracting data insights and building ML models and, especially in business analytics (or related) domain. Producing visualized data in a professional setting for decision making purposes.

 

Preferred:

Familiarity with forensic engagements and risk flags Familiarity with SAP and/or SAGE. Familiarity with COBIT/COSO/ISO Experience working with (as a client) or for (as a team member) of large, listed companies (US & UK)

SKILLS

Advanced understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, deep learning, or recommendation systems  Advanced proficiency in a functional or object-oriented programming language (e.g. Python, R) Advanced understanding of statistical analysis  Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues or bugs. Ability to independently design models and test them. Excellent communication skills, reporting to management.
