+ The role is a part of the Workers Compensation and Absence Management team within the People/HR Division.
+ Responsible for analyzing, developing, recommending, and implementing absence management strategies to ensure compliance and alignment with company goals.
+ Additionally, the position is responsible for developing reports to initiate change and identify opportunities for improvement.
**What you'll do**
+ Design, develop and implement, with a cross-functional group of internal and external partners, an evolved roadmap for absence management processes and systems that is both legally compliant and aligned with the Company’s strategic goals
+ Analyze processes, data, and trends to provide insights and actionable recommendations on a variety of absence management related initiatives.
+ Evaluates competitive strategies and industry trends to determine impact on current or contemplated action plans
+ Create engaging and informative content to present findings to stakeholders and leadership
+ Work cross-collaboratively with internal parties to synthesize large sets of data and develop monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting to enable informed decisions by business leaders
+ Build brand awareness, thought leadership, and engagement within the enterprise while providing valuable insights and resources to stakeholders

**Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training
+ 3 or more years of prior experience
+ Proven experience in using data to analyze trends and influence decision making
+ Strong presentation and writing skills with ability to understand how to adjust communications to the audience
**Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Knowledgeable with municipal, state, and federal employment laws including, but not limited to: Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act (PWFA), Title VII and comparable state/local laws
+ Prior experience with represented team members/unions
+ Previous transportation industry experience
**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
+ Demonstrated analytical skills to run, analyze, manipulate, and maintain large data sets efficiently
+ Must be able to work independently and with limited direction to prioritize tasks under narrow time limitations, and appropriately communicate changes and progress
+ Ability to influence all levels of management and vendors
+ Ability to achieve excellence: hold high standard of quality for self and others
+ Goal oriented
