Analyst Store Optimization

The store optimization analyst is responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining strong inventory and in-stock positions for new, updated and relocation stores. The analyst will provide localized assortment recommendations to merchant teams to meet customer needs and maximize new store sales and profit. The ideal candidate will be analytical and results-oriented, yet collaborative in their partnerships across DMMs, CMT, Store, Space Planning, Real Estate, and DC teams.

Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

5+ years of related work experience requiredExperience in a retail environment preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide analysis and recommendations to Allocation Mgrs. and RAs for initial store inventory levels and receipt flow by category to support sales demand and store presentation.Create and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify and correct inventory level imbalances prior to, during and after store openings.Provide localized assortment recommendations to DMM/CMT teams during initial store assortment planning process.  Ensure agreed upon localized assortments are executed for store opening and maintained for at least six months post-opening.Interact daily with Allocation Mgrs., RAs and CMT teams on new store category opportunities and needed pull backs for up to six months post-opening.  Identify trending and non-performing categories. Recommend receipt and inventory actions.Analyze and identify new store advertised item inventory. Recommend needed actions.Partner with DC-Logistics teams to execute new store receipt flow, truck schedules and post-opening inventory flow.Recommend and facilitate transfer requests with Allocation Mgrs. and RAs as needed for new/newly opened/update stores.Facilitate store communication with RVP/DM/Store Director for store inventory levels and assortment.  Advocate for store needs/concerns to Allocation Mgrs., RAs and CMT teams.Partner with Allocation Mgrs., RAs, and Invent HUB team to maximize new store sales and in-stocks for replenishment items.Identify new and improved new store processes to improve efficiencies and execution.Responsibilities may change; Store Optimization Analyst may be required to perform other tasks as assigned.
