American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access, differentiated value, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to premium Card Members seeking leisure or business travel, as well as a variety of lifestyle services. The TLS COE (Center of Excellence) is tasked with uniting the travel and lifestyle benefits and strategic travel partner relationships globally to create structured and focused plans towards advanced Card Member engagement with Amex travel benefits.
**Job Description**
The Airline and Ground Partnerships team within Global Partnerships and Marketing manages the relationships between Amex Travel and key airline, car rental, and ground transportation suppliers. This includes ensuring that Amex Travel has revenue-generating agreements in place with key airline and car rental suppliers and that these suppliers participate in programs that provide unique benefits to American Express Card Members. In addition to ensuring a seamless process when Card Members book travel through American Express, this team maintains Amex Travel’s private fare programs (International Airline Program, Recommended Flights, and Insider Fares), the embedded Car Rental status benefits that exist across the American Express portfolio, and other travel-related benefits.
The Analyst, Travel Partnerships will support members of the team across the airline and car rental verticals in negotiating new agreements, monitoring the performance of existing agreements, and keeping internal stakeholders up to date on progress.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide support to Managers and Senior Managers in their day-to-day Account Management responsibilities (eg. Addressing Card Member complaints, managing partner escalations, negotiating contracts, selling sponsorships, and partnering with Operations Analysts to support operational issues like fare filing and inventory availability)
+ Support relationship management by assisting with preparation for account reviews, partner meetings, and internal business updates
+ Identify opportunities to grow the Amex Travel airline and car rental business through marketing and agent engagement
+ Collaborate with international counterparts within the GPM Air Partnerships team to develop global account management strategies for key airlines.
+ Support the team’s collaboration across the enterprise with Membership Rewards, Strategic Partnerships, Premium Card Products, Co-Brand, Global Merchant Services, etc. to identify opportunities to drive growth and to support American Express enterprise priorities.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree required
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decisions with external partners across the enterprise
+ Strong personal presence with the ability to confidently present to leadership at all levels
+ Strategic thinker with growth mindset that can pull in multiple viewpoints and both qualitative and quantitative information to ensure we serve our Card members, partners, and the business
+ Outstanding collaboration skills, ability to work across teams regardless of reporting lines, to achieve joint outcomes
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
+ Prior partner management experience is preferred
+ This role is hybrid and based in New York City
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
