Analyst - Supply Chain

 

As an Analyst - Supply Chain, you will gather data and conduct analysis with the goal of improving supply chain operations. You will identify underperforming areas in the supply chain and may suggest improvements or resolutions to problems. Additionally, you will perform analytics and statistical modelling on large data sets to optimize supply chain operations workflow, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. You will apply mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques to determine and forecast the cost/availability of raw materials, customer demand, production capacity, availability of cost effective shipping, etc. You will also create data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify Supply Chain operations improvements and simulate the impact of proposed initiatives. You may partner with business line managers to understand and frame operational problems for further analysis.

Responsibilities:

Generates, reviews, reconciles and distributes various reports.  Performs advanced analytics to monitor and reconcile DC sales and margin including collection of redistribution allowances.  Reviews and reconciles assigned expense exceptions on a daily basis.  Performs assigned monthly and quarterly tasks including report generation and process implementation. Maintains knowledge and awareness of upcoming supplier cost changes. Resolves issues with purchasing, branches, data services and suppliers. Performs basic accounting duties including accounts payable and standard month end close entries.

Qualifications:

Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related required 2 years preferred of analytical pricing, purchasing or finance.  Ability to generate accurate and timely analysis using advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong data mining, aggregation and analytical skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately and manage process to finalize open items pending from external sources. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail oriented with strong work ethic. Effective organizational skills.
