WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities


What you can expect on a typical day:

Evaluate Investment Opportunities: Review pitch decks, analyze business plans, and assess market trends to identify startups with strong growth potential. Support Due Diligence: Conduct detailed market research, build financial models, and perform valuations to evaluate investment opportunities. Prepare Investment Materials: Develop comprehensive investment memos and presentations to support decision-making processes. Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio company performance, provide operational insights, and help identify areas for growth. Engage with the Ecosystem: Attend startup pitch meetings, industry events, and collaborate with senior team members on strategy and investment decisions. Contribute to Thesis Development: Assist in market research for new investment theses and support incubation concept development. Manage the Deal Pipeline: Coordinate with the investment team to assess opportunities, organize due diligence efforts, and maintain pipeline tracking. Participate in Team Discussions: Engage in internal meetings to discuss new investments, evaluate portfolio companies, and contribute insights.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree: Business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. Analytical and Financial Skills: Strong ability to assess business models, market trends, and financial data, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methods, and analyzing financial statements. Industry Awareness: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and disruptions in relevant sectors through continuous learning, networking, and attending industry events. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, essential for creating financial models and professional presentations. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to articulate findings, present investment recommendations, and engage effectively with the team and entrepreneurs. Teamwork and Collaboration: Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment by working closely with colleagues, sharing insights, and contributing meaningfully to discussions. Independent Initiative: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently while delivering high-quality results.

BONUS POINTS FOR THESE: Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship experience in venture capital, investment banking, or consulting. Certifications in investment analysis, financial modeling, or venture capital. Familiarity with HR/payroll outsourcing concepts.
