About the job

Do you have technical experience conducting professional Scientific work in Consumer Healthcare, Complimentary Medicine or Pharmaceutical industries? As Analytical Chemist you will be able to work autonomously on guided and detailed responsibilities as well as collaboratively with the fellow team members across the Science hub.

Main responsibilities:

Carry out routine analysis on samples and products in the quality control laboratory and to ensure quality and timely generation of results

Ensure that all routine scheduled work is completed on a daily basis and to report any required deviations to the schedule to the Team Leader, QC Manager or designate

Work from and help to develop Analytical Laboratory Methods and SOP’s, and adhere to Pharmacopoeia’s, regulatory and GLP, GMP Guidelines

Plan and coordinate own workload, ensuring all appropriate testing is carried out to GLP guidelines and to our Consumer Healthcare procedures

Check fellow staff members work for accuracy and precision against the appropriate methods, SOP’s and guidelines.

May be required to use technical experience to develop methods and procedures.

May be required to validate technical operations to stringent guidelines

Comply with Lead Time Standards. Complete allocated tasks correctly on time, proactively communicate delays as appropriate and work productively, efficiently and effectively

Lead and motivate others for improved performance. Demonstrate quality focus and leadership (e.g. improvement suggestions, immediate response shown to potential defects or non conformances)

Contribute to reduction wastage/costs (e.g. time, stocks, and product). Right First Time. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities

Adherence to laboratory calibration schedules

Performance track record of attention to detail.

Adhere to GMP and GLP standards along with SOP’s, PPM’s and other written instructions. Maintain Training record

Apply attention to safe work practices to ensure protection of your health and safety and that of colleagues

Any other QC-related tasks as reasonably requested by Team Leader, QC Manager or designate

About You

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (Chemistry or related discipline)

Experience:

Analytical laboratory experience performing wet chemical and instrumental techniques

Experience in pharmaceutical analysis or Consumer Healthcare related field

Experienced user and trouble shooter in analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, AA, TLC, dissolution testing)

Working knowledge of GMP and GLP guidelines

Soft Skills:  

Team player who can also work without supervision but can communicate and collaborate with colleagues

High level attention to detail and accuracy

Problem solver- and continuous improvement mindset
