Job Description
Perform routine analytical chemical testing on products submitted to the lab, including analysis of raw material, in-process batches, finished goods or bulk samples, water samples, cleaning samples, stability samples, etc. Conduct specialized analytical testing as directed by the Laboratory Manager in support of development projects, new products, method troubleshooting, or Out of Specification investigations. Properly document all results according to Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instructions and review the work of other laboratory personnel as required.
ResponsibilitiesLearn and practice all aspects of laboratory instrumentation, including gas chromatography (GC), High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR.Conduct analytical work in support of cleaning validations and engineering trials.Compile and summarize data, when required.Perform general housekeeping and glassware cleaning.Communicate verbally and in writing with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.Perform other assignments as requested by the Lab Manager.Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all company policies and procedures.Essential SkillsExperience with HPLC and GCAnalytical chemistry proficiencyBS Degree in Chemistry or related Laboratory Sciences Degrees1+ years of experience in a GMP labAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to compile and summarize dataStrong communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to work extra hours, including some limited weekend work, when necessaryWork Environment
OTC Manufacturing Analytical Chemistry Laboratory. The position will be on 3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. Candidate must have the ability to work extra hours, including some limited weekend work, when necessary to handle spikes in workload and meet deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
