Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a Analytical Chemist to join our team. You will be responsible for testing raw materials before they are used in manufacturing, ensuring compliance with USDA and EP standards. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience with a variety of testing methods, including wet chemistry, HPLC, and GC.

ResponsibilitiesTest incoming materials to meet USDA and EP standards.Perform wet chemistry tests such as pH, IR, moisture, and ID tests.Undergo training in HPLC and GC work.Conduct basic testing during initial training.Draft protocols and complete side tasks as needed.Conduct method validation and method transfer.Essential SkillsB.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related life science field.Undergraduate research experience or summer internship experience.0-3 years of chemistry experience in a GMP environment.Experience with HPLC and GC.Experience drafting protocols and conducting method verifications and validations.Additional Skills & QualificationsAnalytical chemistry coursework.Initiative taken outside of class.Experience troubleshooting instruments and developing new methods.Work Environment

You will be working in a quality control laboratory within a team of 4-5 chemists per supervisor across various teams including Raw Materials, Finished Products, and Analytical Development. The lab has expanded over the last 2 years and features a modern design. Chemists share workspaces and have access to laptops, while scientist-level individuals have their own desks. The lab environment is dynamic, providing opportunities to work with varied instrumentation and learn new skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
