Job Summary:
Senior FE Analytical Engineer to support global and local product engineering teams across RegalRexnord to execute FE simulations independently to validate coupling designs. He will be responsible to drive productivity and efficiency.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
Carry out Static/Dynamic, Linear/Nonlinear, Thermal and Thermomechanical FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of coupling products independentlyPerform Low Cycle Fatigue and High Cycle Fatigue assessments of coupling productsCarry out technical research and new product developmentAutomation & fast FE model building of standard & repetitive FE tasksFE results post processing & result interpretationCreation of technical reportsShare best practices among the team membersWorking with global stakeholders for having relevant data and information and understand the problem statement including full documentation of itDriving efficiency and productivityReading and analyze complex measurement data and compare it with simulation resultsResponsibility for complex driveline simulationsRequired Education / Experience / Skills:
Postgraduate (PhD/M.E/M. Tech) from Tier 1 premier institutes (like IIT, NIT etc) in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent having FEA as one of their core subjects 8-12 years of proven experience in simulation of mechanical components using FEA software Abaqus (both Solver & CAE)Experience in simulation of rubber and plastic components using Hyperelastic and Viscoelastic material modelsExperience in simulation of composite structuresProficient in engineering mechanics and mechanical designExperience in handling NPD projects independentlyExperience in creation of technical documents, review and presentationsShould be proactive to help design engineers to have optimum and robust product and participate in design reviewsA team player should be able to cooperatively work in multi-disciplinary environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood knowledge about different types of materials like metals, composite, rubbers and plastics etc.Advanced knowledge in drivetrain componentsVery strong mathematical and analytical backgroundAdvanced knowledge in simulation of non- metallic componentsExperience in simulation of lubricated structuresExperience in system-dynamics modeling in FE domain for complex drivelinesExtended mathematical and tools understanding for efficient modeling in CAE to save computational time as well as model development timeExperience with Matlab/Simulink/Origin/Maple would be an advantageExperience in model exchange among complex software platforms for future Mockup interfaceThinking out of the box and pushing the boundaries to have cost-driven structural solutionsLOCATION: Regal Rexnord Office, Hyderabad, India
