Job Title
Analytical Lab InternWe are seeking a motivated Ceramic Analytical Lab Summer Intern to join our team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience in the analysis and characterization of ceramic materials, supporting research and development efforts in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in material science, ceramics, and analytical techniques used to evaluate material properties.Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Analytical Lab Intern, you will own your own project, collaborating with teammates to develop and characterize new materials analysis techniques. Responsibilities can include:
Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of ceramic materials using techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and thermal analysis.
Prepare and process ceramic samples for various analytical and mechanical testing procedures.
Assist in data collection, interpretation, and documentation of experimental results.
Support the development and optimization of testing methodologies for ceramic materials.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and technicians on research and development projects.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and experimental results.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience with analytical techniques such as XRD, SEM, EDS, and thermal analysis is a plus.
Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Basic understanding of ceramic materials and their properties.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and technical writing skills.

Target Hiring Range
Hourly: USD 20.32 - USD 22.57Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
