About you and this role

As the Analytical Leader, you supervise daily activities of administrative, technical and operational employees. Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Focus across a site, hub or region to optimize the effectiveness of analytical resources and the analytical work process to ensure sustainable cost-competitive analytical services are provided. Set priorities for the laboratory team to ensure operational objectives are met and tasks are completed. As a leader, foster a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment.

ResponsibilitiesServe as a role model for Environmental, Health & Safety, share learning, and ensure follow-up on incident investigations.Develop, implement, and track progress of the Site analytical Strategy.Implement the Analytical Work Process and effective Lab Management Systems.Provide people leadership for analytical roles.Coordinate resources for analytical projects and activities.Manage analytical prime controllable expenses.Coordinate capital planning and serve as a focal point for procurement of analytical equipment.Serve as focal point for analytical vendors, contract labs and services.Facilitate the identification of opportunities and implementation of improvements.Communicate with business, function, and site roles on development of Service Level Agreements and analytical issues.Participate in continuous improvement of the Analytical Work Process.

QualificationsA minimum of a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, other Science related major, or Engineering or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking is required.At least 6 years of laboratory, manufacturing or related experience required.Demonstrated leadership abilities.

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
