Overview of the job

An Analytical Researcher at P&G plays a critical role in the development and support of various products through advanced analytical techniques. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, stability, and efficacy while leveraging scientific expertise to solve complex challenges.

Your team

This role reports to Senior Scientist, MAPLab, AMA PHC R&D

How success looks like

Ability to perform routine analysis of dosage forms like Tablets, capsules, liquids, semi solids using instrumentation like HPLC, UV, GC, Dissolution.Have exposure to Analytical method development, analytical method validation; analytical method transfer; stability testing.Understanding of ICH guidelines for method validation and stability studies.Agility to learn and acquire new skills.


Responsibilities of the role

Method Development and Validation:

Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for various products, including raw materials and finished goods.Responsible for performing analysis of various actives/ inactive raw materials as per in-house methods or methods specified in various pharmacopoeia like IP, BP/EP, USP and JP.Utilize techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy, Dissolution, Autotitrator, Karl Fischer titrator to support product analysis.

Stability Studies:

Conduct stability studies to assess the shelf-life and performance of products under various conditions.Analyze data to ensure compliance with ICH guideline and regulatory standards and product specifications.

Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

Learning agility to Identify and troubleshoot analytical issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve problems in product development or manufacturing processes.Collaborate with Senior technologist/Manager and quality assurance to implement corrective actions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.Capture and communicate unexpected results and/or observations both orally and in writing to the senior technologist/Manager and learn to determine why there were unexpected results when they arise.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:

Work closely with R&D, quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams to support product development initiatives.Participate in project meetings, learn and contribute to strategy discussions regarding product formulation and performance.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all analytical activities comply with internal and external regulatory requirements.Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to analytical testing.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to process improvements and innovation in analytical methodologies.Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

Instrument calibration:

Responsible for timely completion of calibrations of various laboratory instruments like HPLC, GC, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, Autotitrator, Karl Fischer titrator, Dissolution tester, FTIR Spectrophotometer, Polarimeter, Refractometer, Viscometer.

Qualifications: M. Pharm with 1-2 years of experience /M.Sc. with 2-5 years of experienceAbility to work in a matrix, team-oriented environmentStrong technical skills with strong compliance orientationAbility to work in a matrix, team-oriented environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Good analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Proficiency in various analytical techniques and methodologies, including chromatography, spectroscopy, and statistical analysis.Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and software used in analytical testing.Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical software, or specific laboratory software).Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements related to analytical testing in the pharmaceutical or consumer goods industries.Computer literacy (e.g. MS-project, Power Point, document management systems) available and shown ability to quickly learn new software and tracking tools and associated processesGood presentation skillsGood verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific information to both technical and non-technical audiences.A mindset focused on continuous improvement, with a willingness to adopt new technologies and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements in a dynamic work environment.
