Job DescriptionLaboratory Responsibilities
Performs bench role in assigned HPLC and UPLC assaysMaintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory.Adheres to good documentation practices (GDP) for all paper and electronic documentation.Collects and processes all raw data pertaining to executed assays.Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample management and documentation of test results.Performs peer review of data.Works with data reviewers and authorizers to complete any needed corrections or retesting.Completes all required trainings for the role.Performs all duties relevant to the Quality Control Chemist position as required.Leadership Responsibilities
Supports and monitors team of analysts.Monitors and reports all productivity and quality metrics.Completes routine employee compliance walkthroughs.May participate in new hire interviews.Supports the on-boarding process of new employees.Participates in training of other employees.Participates in overtime and weekend schedule as required.Qualifications

Experience using and troubleshooting HPLC/UPLC instrumentation.2 Years of cGMP experienceStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesExperience with LIMS preferredMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience1 year of previous leadership experienceAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationThe position is full-time, this role is 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply. Compensation is $26.00-$32.00 per hour based on experience.
