What you will do:

Reporting to the PEC Alliance Leader and the A/NZ Head of Chapter Management within Decision Sciences & Engineering, this role will own and be accountable for all of the decision science & engineering resources in India PEC across specialist skills (analysts, engineers, scientists), time & compute capacity.

Your focus will be on managing the limited specialist personnel available - allocating them efficiently & profitably to meet prioritized enterprise outcomes; managing the people to balance workload, performance, and skills development; ensuring scientific & engineering standards are developed and met to establish best practice habits, and reusability of tools & assets.

Being across the regional strategy, you will ensure your area delivers according to those priorities in lock step with your counterparts in Technology, in accordance with the priorities set by multiple Resource Users including Asset Managers, Customer-facing teams, Platforms, Advisory, Strategy and others. Your commercial acumen will come in handy across the full span of your role as you’ll identify the right resource mix to meet the enterprise outcomes, drive efficiencies in essential & repeatable activities, and backfill the right types of skills across analyst, engineer, scientist, onshore/offshore, experienced / interns that delivers growth & innovation rather than continue the present.

With your team leads, you will manage a large function of personnel in a matrix environment to perform in alignment with Equifax’s values. Working closely with Resource Users and Strategy, you will provide cost estimates and resource scenario planning to meet the multitude of strategic priorities, tactical opportunities, and asset management requirements across many segments. You will continuously review the workload of the specialists to ensure their work is high value, aligned with strategic priorities, and justified.

 You will work with the various Resource Users to ensure holistic outcomes that meet enterprise objectives are delivered. You will recommend tough choices that prioritises enterprise objectives, and with support from the Head of Chapter Management, GM Decision Science & Engineering, reallocate resources to the right objectives where they are not being utilised effectively by Resource Users.

What experience you need:

BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred.

10 +  years experience leading and defining strategies and vision in data and analytic leadership roles or similar

You will have a strong background in data & analytics, across the data value chain from ingestion and purposing, through to model & insights generation, and be able to distinguish between the utilisation of analysts, engineers, and scientists for the right tasks.

You will have a strong people management background, able to foster talent development.

You will have a strong operational background able to establish and enforce operational management (including incident) to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations.

You’ll need to be equally comfortable navigating GM-level or C-suite conversations and be an influential voice across the organization and in external conversations. You’ll be familiar with matrix working environments, managing a team that needs and deserves regular performance feedback, and embrace the Equifax leadership charter 

You will be adept at translating and communicating technical concepts into simple business language that non-technical people can easily understand.
