Job Description The Analytics Governance Manager for Data Consumption will own the “last mile” of analytics governance -ensuring that Globe’s enterprise reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics models are accurate, secure, and aligned with company-wide data governance standards.You will not perform development work but will define, implement, and enforce the policies, processes, and controls that govern how data is accessed, used, and shared across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policy & Standards Leadership: Develop, document, and implement data-centric policies, standards, and business rules for data access and usage (Golden KPIs, Business Rules Ownership, Data Product Blueprint).
Process Governance: Design and operationalize end-to-end processes for KPI certification, report approval, and data access reviews; drive continuous improvements and compliance audits.
Data Quality Oversight: Partner with Data Quality and Acquisition teams to ensure downstream data meets required Data Quality Index (DQI) thresholds and adheres to governance principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Analytics, ISG, and business units to translate business needs into governance requirements and gain buy-in across all levels.
Risk & Compliance: Identify potential risks in data consumption, establish preventive controls, and monitor adherence through reviews and audits.
Enablement & Communication: Articulate the value of governance to diverse stakeholders and create clear, concise documentation for enterprise use.
Must-Have Qualifications
5 years in data governance, process governance, or any governance-related field
Alternatively, 5 years experience in Analytics with a strong demonstrated focus on data quality, standards and process improvement
3 years in policy making, implementation, audit
3 yrs process management (design, implementation, change mgt)
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to dissect complex data usage scenarios, identify potential risks, and propose effective, scalable solutions.
Proven experience in developing, documenting, and implementing data-centric policies, standards, and business rules from the ground up.
Ability to understand the key drivers, dependencies and risks
Strong understanding of data quality policies and procedure
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent technical and business writing skills, capable of creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for various audiences.
Proven ability to work effectively across different business units and technical teams, translating business needs into governance requirements and vice-versa.
Deep understanding of data governance, data management principles/processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of governance and influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority.
Bachelor’s Degree in any related discipline
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Strong background in process management, including process mapping, optimization, and the implementation of controls to ensure compliance.
Experience in conducting compliance audits or reviews to measure and enforce adherence to established governance policies.
Experience with data cataloging, data quality, or metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Informatica EDC).
Working knowledge of BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BQ, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) from a data consumption and governance perspective.
A highly motivated individual who can work independently to identify gaps, define priorities, and execute on a strategic roadmap in a dynamic environment.
A business-first approach, focused on creating governance frameworks that enable speed and agility for analysts rather than acting as a bottleneck.
