Analytics Manager
Are you passionate about working with Amazon-scale data, analytics/science, and state-of-the-art data infrastructure? Do you love bringing data together from diverse systems and sources, and solving complex analytics problems for creating deep understanding of customer behavior and generating actionable business insights? Does the idea of working closely with a partner team of product managers, operations leaders, machine-learning scientists, and software engineers excite you?
The Analytics Manager will lead a critical team of business-intelligence engineers leveraging massive, Amazon-scale data to help us improve decision-making, increase operational efficiency, and delight our customers with new and improved experiences. The team will sit within our Analytics and Science organization and operate in close partnership with product managers, scientists and engineers to combat existing and emerging risk vectors across Books businesses.
This is a dynamic role requiring a leader who is not afraid to think big, improve existing processes, build new ones, and collaborate across a large organization covering multiple businesses. They must be comfortable operating in an exciting, high-impact environment and use their strong communication skills to build and maintain trust with a cross-functional group of stakeholders and partners. They will own processes for analytics support across our businesses, covering data and infrastructure, metrics and reporting processes, and data governance. They will have a strong focus on consistency, clarity, and operational excellence of the team. They will also build compelling career paths across data, analytics, and science roles for their team and organization.
