Anatomic Path Support Representative I - Sacramento, CA - Monday to Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Position provides general support for the Anatomic Pathology function. 

Pay Range: $19.40 - $21.20 / hour


Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Filing and retrieval of slides as requested Electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS) Mail handling and distribution within the department Storage of laboratory records according to established record management protocol May load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument Print/Collate History Match Manage process for requesting recuts, special stains and immunohistochemistry stains May participate in QA/QC support activities May contact clients to request additional information May handle incoming calls, responding in a professional and timely manner Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience:  

1-year related experience preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:

The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.  Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.  Frequent walking and/or standing.  May be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity 

Knowledge: 

Knowledge of basic computer functions Quest LIS knowledge is desirable 

Skills:

Data Entry skills Good clerical, organizational, phone and communication skills 


EDUCATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent(Required)
