Anatomic Pathology Technician

Our client, a leading organization in life sciences research, is seeking a Technician to join their team. As a Technician, you will be part of the Pathology department supporting critical research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Anatomic Pathology Technician
**Location:** Columbus, OH & West Jefferson, OH
**Pay Range:** $27.66 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform necropsy examinations of small and large laboratory animals, including gross necropsy and tissue collection.
+ Trim tissues for histopathology processes and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
+ Work with hazardous biological materials in Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) and Biological Safety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories.
+ Maintain laboratory equipment and space, including inventory management and waste disposal.
+ Document and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety protocols.
**What's Needed?**
+ Associate degree in animal science, zoology, or a related biology field plus 1 year of relevant experience.
+ Experience working in a laboratory setting with necropsy skills.
+ Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Eligibility to obtain a security clearance and willingness to comply with safety regulations.
