ROLE:  FOX 5 San Diego/KUSI News duopoly is seeking an experienced Anchor/Reporter to support our growing team.  Successful candidate excels in ad-libbing, storytelling on all platforms, connecting with viewers, can receive feedback and models professionalism on and off the air.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurate reporting of news storiesAttend editorial meetings and regularly pitch original story ideasDevelops community contacts and a network of news sourcesMust be able to ad-lib live breaking news by telling a compelling storyWorks with photographer, producers, desk in the development of a storyRegularly updates newsroom on story elements and progressUses social media to update news stories to the publicAttend station partnerships in the communityAnchor weekend newscasts and specials produced by the stationRegularly write and proofread stories on assigned broadcasts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.A. or B.S. Degree preferably in journalism or communicationPrevious TV anchoring and reporting experience strongly preferred
