THE JOB As the Ancillary Sales Manager at Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond, VA, you will lead a team responsible for generating revenue through VIP upgrades, premier parking, lawn chair rentals, reserved lawn, fast lane access, future ticket sales, and other upsell opportunities on show days. Your mission is to drive sales while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This is a part-time, seasonal role (approximately May–November) that is primarily events-based on evenings, weekends, and holidays, and will include in-office pre and post-event responsibilities. WHAT YOU’LL DO + Maximize Revenue & Guest Satisfaction + Oversee the execution of all upsell programs and ensure seamless guest interactions + Continuously analyze data and guest feedback to adjust pricing strategies and sales tactics + Identify new revenue opportunities that enhance the fan experience + Participate in the venue’s sustainability initiatives, helping to educate guests and staff on eco-friendly efforts while devising programs to reinforce these efforts + Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team + Train and manage the Ancillary Sales team to be proactive, sales-focused, and guest-friendly + Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation with product sales + Provide ongoing coaching to optimize sales performance + Operational Excellence + Collaborate with venue leadership to ensure proper staffing and efficient operations + Work closely with the box office team to troubleshoot any issues with inventory, pricing, or guest concerns + Maintain inventory of ancillary products (lawn chairs, merchandise, etc.) throughout the season + Secure and reconcile day-of-show ancillary sales + Participate in the team’s post-show sweeps to include lawn chair removal and recyclables collection + Other related duties as assigned by management WHAT YOU’LL BRING Required: + A sales-driven mindset with a passion for increasing revenue + Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and optimize sales strategies + Innovative thinking to develop and implement new revenue streams + A love for live music and being in the heart of the action + Excellent guest service and relationship-building skill + Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a small team + Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership + The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, outdoors, in all weather conditions + Availability for all events and necessary pre- and post-event duties on non-event days + Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with proper lifting techniques Preferred: + Continued education, certification, or literacy business, or a related field is preferred + Experience in event sales or in a live music setting Physical Demands/Working Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
