Our engineering organization is looking for a motivated and experienced Android engineer to join our Frameworks and Tools team. As an Android engineer on this team, you will be involved in the design and implementation of common client capabilities, build tooling, and automation infrastructure used across the Strava engineering organization. You will work closely with our cross-functional product teams to ensure our technology is able to address real athlete problems while being reliable and performant.

You will be successful here by: Demonstrating empathy for athletes and their experience while using Strava Taking ownership of your work, and partnering with cross-functional peers to ensure services are properly scoped and implemented. Building well-documented and easy-to-use systems that are quickly and widely adopted across our engineering organization. Contributing to an inclusive and collaborative team culture Building beautiful, smooth, delightful mobile experiences. Mentoring other engineers and providing technical leadership to the team through forums like tech talks. Using your in-depth knowledge of all things Android to help drive technical conversations with peers from different backgrounds, across different teams. Be willing to explore and learn new technologies outside of your comfort zone We’re excited about you because: Have experience building Android applications in a production environment using Kotlin. Jetpack compose experience is a nice to have Have experience working with large, modularized applications that use dependency injection tools and GraphQL is a nice to have Stay up to date and experiment with the latest Android technologies. Have a product-focused mindset. Our team works together to deliver projects that use technology to solve real business problems. Enjoy working on mobile apps at all levels – from networking up to user interfaces and everything in between. Have experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques.
