Anesthesia Technician

Anesthesia Technician - Providence Portland Medical Center Operating Room, in Portland, Oregon.  This posting represents a 40 hour per week opportunity, working day shifts.  Shifts will include rotating weekend, holiday, and standby scheduling.

Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. The anesthesia technician supports the anesthesia providers by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors. The incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests. May provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery.

Required Qualifications: 

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 2 years - clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an Anesthesia Technician.  Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
