Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.  The department averages 160 cases are per week, supported by an active and dynamic OB team that performed 1,580 deliveries last year. The hospital boasts 8 main operating rooms (ORs), 2 cystoscopy rooms, 2 labor and delivery ORs, 2 endoscopy suites, and 1 interventional radiology room. The case load spans a wide range, primarily bread-and-butter (B&B) cases, but also includes healthy pediatrics, obstetrics, neurology, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, and trauma. NYC Health +Hospitals/Lincoln is located just 15 minutes from NYC, and is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College.

Opportunity Details:

On-call responsibilities are well supported by three attendings in-house for nights and weekends

Two attendings manage main OR cases, while the third is dedicated to labor and delivery Minimum of four calls per month required Weekday calls: 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. (16 hours) Weekend calls: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (24 hours) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and residents work in a 1:2 supervision ratio Approximately 40% of cases are performed solo and 60% under supervision Anesthesiology residents from New York Medical College rotate through the facility Five residents graduate per year Residents also take in-house call Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) rotators work during the day, contributing to the educational environment
