Angiography Technologist 

As  an Angiography Technologist you will perform angiography exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocol.

Position Summary:

Operates diagnostic equipment and Performs a variety of technical angiography procedures.  Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests inclusive of positioning patient, and calibration of equipment and documentation of findings.

Responsibilities
Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards Ensures that patient orientation, patient preparation and patient teaching is provided prior, during and following the test completionReviews the physician order to verify the type of diagnostic test requested and that the indication for the procedure is consistentProvides specific diagnostic test information to the patient ensuring that the patient is aware of the diagnostic test involvement Obtains patient history according to specific departmental procedural protocol
Qualifications

Education and Licensure required:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R ); must maintain current
Certified by the State of Texas - MRTBLS with American Heart Association

Preferred:

Associate’s Degree

Experience required:

*One (1) experience as a Radiographer
