The company is looking for an **Animal Research Technician** to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference! **Schedule:** M-F 8am-4:30 **Location:** Athens, GA **Pay:** $20/hour **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide daily care for animals, ensuring proper feeding, watering, and enrichment. + Monitor animal health, recognize signs of illness, and report to the Site Veterinarian. + Assist with scientific procedures, such as animal restraint, administering treatments, and conducting clinical observations. + Perform facility maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing animal rooms and equipment. + Assist with sample collection (blood, feces, etc.) and necropsies as directed. + Ensure biosecurity measures are followed. + Maintain accurate records of animal care and study activities. + May guide junior team members and participate in site-specific committees or workgroups. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent (GED). + Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally and work directly with animals.
