JOB SUMMARY\n
The Kennel Technician Supervisor will maintain a clean and sanitary City of Conroe Animal Shelter facility, provide food and water to the animals in the shelter, and assist with other daily operations as directed. The Kennel Technician Supervisor will have supervisory responsibilities over the activities of the Kennel Technicians.\n
QUALIFICATIONS\n
Education and Experience:\n
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working with an Animal Shelter or Animal Clinic is preferred.\n
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \n\nMust possess a valid Texas driver's license.\nMust be able to communicate with the public in a professional manner at all times.\nMust be able to read and write; basic math skills are required.\nMust be able to work around animals for extended periods of time.\nMust be able to work emergency and on-call hours.\nMust be able to work weekends and holidays.\nAttendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. \n\n
PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and\/or up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.\n
