Vet technicians who are looking to make an impact within oncology research would be a great fit for this role!_ **Animal Technician** **Schedule** : 4x10 schedule (06:00am-4:30pm) Monday-Thursday, Potential Weekends, and Holidays **Salary** : $18-$24/hr DOE **Terms** : C2H 6mo **Experience/Talent Targeted:** Animal Husbandry/Vivarium's Experience with Mice/Rodents **Lab Skills** : Animal Husbandry, Pipette, Microscope, Maintaining Sterility, Small mice or Rodents experience experience. + Monitoring, handling and care for research animals; including providing feed, water, health checks and cage changes. + Maintain study records and preclinical research activity on each research animal + Preclinical experiment (injection, bleeding, euthanasia, & necropsies) + Animal health-care, preparation and follow-up (monitoring, tagging, weighing, and calipering) + Assist with the receipt, stocking and maintenance of supply inventories. + Clean room facility maintenance and experiment preparation + Handle radioactive materials. + Surgical preparation, pre-, peri- and post-operative observations. **Education** High school diploma with 2-3 years of related work experience.
