Key Responsibilities / Job DutiesDirectly managing any leads on the show to subsequently allow them to delegate effectively and do their job to creative and technical ResponsibilitiesDelivering creative realisation to the Animation Director and ensuring creative continuity across a ShowInterpreting the creative vision of the Animation Director and providing a clear creative brief to each artistProviding creative and technical leadership, support and feedback for the crewManaging approval statuses for Animation submissionsAttending department and show Production Technology meetingsDelivering the output of the department to the required quality standards with a view to continually raising the barAdhering to consistent department workflows and processesStaying current with Animation department pipelines and workflowsMaintaining a good knowledge of anatomy and muscle dynamicsContinuous self developmentMaintaining department documentationJob Requirements / Must HavesExtensive experience animating at a high level in Feature animation ( 7 years +)Have served in a Lead Animator role over 3 feature length productions.Strong communication and organisational skills.Strong technical knowledge of MAYA and strong fundamental knowledge of other departments.Experience with scheduling, bidding and casting shots.About You Ability to effectively communicate with animators including those with little technical knowledge as well as very technical production technology teamsOrganised, proactive, goal oriented and a self-starter A team player and excellent communicator, with a keenness for collaboration Adaptable and willing to learn new skills and techniques – including proprietary software Calm under pressure and committed to meet production deadlines
