Overview Promote the production and promotion of anime works and plan and formulate content businesses. After finding original works, drawing up a business plan to comprehensively develop various media (Television/Home Entertainment/Digital/etc.) and other derivative products and licensing, and persuading internal and external stakeholders, including investors and creators, to direct the production of various products, formulate various monetization measures, and lead their implementation. By identifying and developing original works, forming and operating production committees as necessary, and consistently controlling the flow of production and commercialization to advertising, we will realize the expected profits and lead the following flows. + Collaborate with production and marketing or sales to carry out advertising and promotional work to reach consumers   Finding Original + Monitoring market to grasp the trends of the target consumer. + Finding out from a variety of original work candidates that can be expected to generate revenue from anime and commercialization + Build relationships to gain the trust of the original author and negotiate and obtain licenses + Create (build) a sense and network that allows you to develop original works.   Planning + Envisioning monetization through development in various media and commercialization/acquisition of rights + Explain and coordinate with stakeholders including sponsors in advance to increase the feasibility of the plan. + Develop BPs and P&Ls for monetization and obtain management approval + Collaborate with related departments within the company (marketing, legal, sales, etc.) to create a plan and execution plan + After considering the above, we will establish a project for the project that we bring in   Formation and operation of the production committee + Influence the investor to set up and lead the production committee + Grasp the progress of the project and the actual status of monetization, and report to the committee + Flexibly formulate measures to fill gaps with the plan (additional promotions, etc.) and move the relevant departments.   Production Director + Select, negotiate and conclude with production companies, directors, cast artists, agents (including agents), etc. + Review scripts, videos, and music for anime adaptations, and determine and implement necessary revisions + Final check and management of masters + Manage the production progress of the work from time to time, and instruct and execute it to keep the schedule + Guide/check that the various accompanying products do not deviate from the basic concept of the work.   Commercialization support + Develop a commercialization development plan with the person in charge and take necessary actions + Negotiate contract terms such as royalties, production costs, MG, etc. with the original rights holder, etc., and lead to a conclusion in cooperation with the legal and sales departments.   Organizational Development + Work as a team to increase organizational efficiency + Scouting for the best producers and their candidates + Building an industry network and improving the NBCU brand has a strong network with original authors, anime production companies, and creators + The credibility based on the track record has also enhanced the NBCU brand and is utilized in the planning Skills and Experiences (Required) + Basic knowledge of the original story, anime, music production essentials and production process + Basic knowledge of licensing (rights structure, royalties, etc.) + Skills to create a proposal based on an understanding of the business and investment return model + Influence and negotiating skills with sponsors and creators + Basic English proficiency and fluent written and oral communication skills in Japanese   (Desirable) + Ability to envision future commercialization/rights acquisition + Ability to explain to overseas partners/customers + Project management skills to move multiple projects Unique attributes of the Job/ Personal Characteristics + Thoroughly study consumer trends and create key concepts + While keeping a strong sympathy for the original story, also has the calmness to make it a business + Persuade creators with "consumer-oriented" logic + Have a strong commitment to enhancing the perfection of the work + Understand the position of internal and external stakeholders and communicate flexibly As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
