Overview

Chubb is looking for an Ansible Engineer to join our team and play a key role in automating our infrastructure provisioning and Day 2 operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using Ansible to improve our operational efficiency, resilience, and stability. Responsibilities

Design and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible for provisioning and configuring infrastructure across various environments.  Automate middleware deployment and configuration management using Ansible modules and custom scripts.  Implement best practices for creating immutable environments to ensure consistency and security.  Automate Day 2 tasks such as patching, configuration drift remediation, and log collection.  Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and stability through automation.  Develop and maintain robust, reusable, and well-documented Ansible playbooks adhering to coding standards.  Work collaboratively with DevOps engineers and system administrators to understand requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.  Participate in the code review process and contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation codebase.  Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in Ansible and related technologies. 

 

Qualifications:

3-5 years of proven experience designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions using Ansible.  Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and best practices.  Experience with middleware deployment and configuration management.  Familiarity with immutable infrastructure concepts and approaches.  Excellent scripting skills (Python preferred) with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.  Experience working in an Agile development environment.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  A passion for automation and a desire to continuously improve processes.
