Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Directs, controls, and supervises antenna and tower maintenance in their respective countries, or areas they may be deployed too. Plans and coordinates scheduled maintenance visits for antenna/towers within as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for providing trip reports to the Maintenance Supervisor as work is performed and completed. Performs a variety of duties pertaining to the operation, maintenance and repair of antennas and associated mounting hardware, tower systems, waveguide, lighting equipment and grounding systems. Performs as the Team Leader of Antenna and Tower Maintenance Support Team (AMST) in their respective country and provides assistance and training to other team members. This person will be responsible for accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in their possession or under their control. You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country in order to be qualified for this position. Responsibilities Supervises and directs the AMST in the performance of on-site and off-site routine and emergency maintenance support on towers, antennas, transmission lines and associated equipment. Also performs waveguide testing as required. Inspects, tests, and repairs RF coaxial, fiber optic and copper cables. Perform quality assurance/quality control inspections on work performed and as required by COR tasking. Performs organizational level repair maintenance through off-site General Support maintenance of support equipment including disassembly, testing, fault isolation and piece part replacement. Perform static and dynamic operational testing, assembly and operational performance testing, and verification that repaired items meet or exceed original or design technical specifications. Also performs technical inspections to determine maintenance requirements and approximate repair costs. Provides technical assistance and informal over-the-shoulder training to Level I Antenna and Tower Technicians on all aspects of operation, preventive maintenance and repair. The objective of the technical assistance and training is to increase technical proficiency of maintenance personnel. Coordinates with sites and Operations and Maintenance staff in scheduled/unscheduled maintenance to ensure maximum system availability is maintained. Ensures quality assurance is effectively implemented. Ensures all equipment maintenance activities are conducted in the appropriate manner and all safety and maintenance procedures, as outlined in the applicable manuals and directives, are observed. This includes the responsibility of resolving customer complaints in an amiable manner, beneficial to the Project and the Command. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Qualifications: Security Clearance: Secret clearance preferred but not required Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required. High School Graduate or equivalent. Technical/Vocational School graduate in the applicable field or equivalent. Recommended training: Tower Safety & Rescue Height & Harness Safety Course. Certifications: Requires a training certificate or able to obtain certification which meets one of the following requirements: OSHA 1910 (Fall Protection Requirements) OSHA 1926 (Fall Protection Requirements) ANSI/ASSE Z359 CPR and first-aid certification (provided by the contract) Experience: Seven years of progressive experience in the field as outlined in the Job description. Must have knowledge and comply with OSHA 29 CFR Standard 1910.268 for all tower and antenna work. Individual must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English language to include the ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical data.
