The Creative Stylist’s primary role is to prepare and execute styling for editorial photoshoots that inspire all brand channels. This person will work closely with Merchandising & Buying to ensure relevant product for all photography projects is styled to clearly support marketing priorities and buying strategies in editorial messages. This person will present bi-monthly editorial style-outs to the Style Directors, as well as support the Head of Styling on larger editorial campaigns. As a Creative Stylist, you will constantly be finding new ways of advancing the Anthropologie brand and style identity, while supporting business initiatives
Role ResponsibilitiesSTYLING
Create and style inspiring, on-brand, and on-trend looks for editorial shoots that speak to the customer, while under the guidance of the Style Directors & Head of StylingPartner with merchandisers and buyers to create editorial style outs that support initiatives and business goals while also maintaining a unique Anthropologie style.Work with on-set team including Creative Director, model, photographer, digital tech, assistant, hair and makeup to deliver creative product imagery that accurately depicts clothing and is styled according to brand standards.Responsible for communicating styling guidelines, product priorities (big investments + key items) to ensure marketing and buying strategies are represented through a compelling online experience.Proactively work with the Creative Director to ensure their POV for each shoot can be executed with available samples
OPERATIONS
Attend all creative handoffs and partner with the Style Directors to separate styling racks post merchandise hand‐offs to curate the overall mood with looks that suit the creative.Maintain a dynamic schedule that allows for availability to attend meetings, bi-monthly style-outs, investment reviews, executive reviews, and on-set shoots (potentially overnight travel)Present bi-monthly style-outs to the editorial team for sign off. Style-outs will include documentation of styled looks, product info, big buys and branded call outs and be inclusive of styling notes with details for on-set directive.Readiness to assist and support the Head of Styling and/or Style Directors on larger, creative editorial campaignsAmbition to finish all style outs in timely manner for approvals and to action all feedback promptlyWork closely with assistant stylists and coordinators to pack and make sure all samples are correct and available for the shoot
LEADERSHIP
Excellent managerial skills and ability to stay on top of multiple projects with varying priority deadlines, ability to work quickly and stay calm under pressure.Be eager to create strong partnerships with cross functional teams including Merchandising, Buying, E-commerce Styling, and Studio OpsAbility to articulate trends and ideas effectively to the team and to give & receive feedback during style outs and while on setMaintain an enthusiastic personality while working with team on setCollaborate with the Creative Director and Photographer to achieve inspiring imagesRole Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in on-model, on-set styling (freelance, creative agency or brand) Sense of style and focused understanding of the Anthropologie culture and Brand imageBasic knowledge of InDesign and AdobeAbility to recognize current trends and forecast upcoming trends, and to communicate them via outfittingExcellent communicative, managerial, leadership, and detail-oriented skills Location: Philadelphia, PA – some (international & domestic) travel required
